The VIDEOR E. Hartig GmbH, Rödermark is taking part in the statewide activity “Kunst privat!” (Art private) on June 20 for the 5th time. The doors of participating companies in Hessen will be opened for art connoisseurs as well as other interested people. With this initiative the department of trade and industry as well as the ministery of science and arts will provide an insight into the artistic variety of Hessen.

"HYBRIDE - but no cars" from Hertha Miessner

Art lovers are cordially invited at 1 pm to the vernissage of the Munich artist Hertha Miessner. Her exhibition “HYBRIDE - but no cars” is presenting works based on her own paintings which have digitally been finished and finally exposured in a photographic way. The creation process is reflected in the exhibition title: In the technical world „Hybrid“ is a system, two technologies are combined. Therefore the works can be defined as pure painting in the first visual encounter – at a second glance the viewer recognizes that it is photographic work allowing a haptic visual approach.

Afterwards the company in Rödermark, situated in the Carl-Zeiss-Strasse 8, is offering a survey about the collection in guided tours at 2 and 4 pm. Visitors interested can register via phone 06074/888-209 or eMailk.trefz-herd@videor.com until June 19, 2009.

The Videor Art Foundation has been collecting experimental media art since 1996 and is based in the ComCenter of the Rödermark commercial undertaking Videor E. Hartig GmbH. The offerer of professional video technology views the promotion of art as a vital part of its corporate culture and promotes young unknown artists. It is the foundation’s goal to integrate art into the working environment and to give employees as well as visitors the opportunity to deal with contemporary media art. At present, the collection comprises about 300 exhibits that have been created with a computer or as mixed media.
