“digitale Bild-Kompositionen”
from Alexandra Königsmann
Vernissage on 16.06.2011
Rödermark, in April 2011. The Videor Art Foundation opens the exhibition „digital image compositions“ of Alexandra Königsmann on June 16, 2011 at 6.30 pm.
Alexandra Königsmann integrates dramaturgical elements of film and video into her pictures. They live on cinematic scene sequences, individual episodes, cross-fades, focus shifts and show the passage of time. Here, the artist focuses on one image. Watching a 16mm film e.g. 24 pictures are running in the second, the video-film shows 25 frames per second. The resulting work is the quintessence of her visual impressions of the film and video pictures:
A summary, interpretation and decoding of each topic, a time reduction to catch and record the core of the analysis visually. Part of her work the artist creates of characters and thus determines the theme of each composition as a typeface. Alexandra Königsmann’s pictures tell such stories, which are composed by her into one image.
The artist was born in 1957 in Bremen. She studied Art and Social Education at Osnabrück University, Art and Craft Education at Braunschweig University of Art as well as Fine Arts at San Francisco Art Institute, California USA finished with the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts. Since 1985 Alexandra Königsmann is living in Munich and is working as a freelance artist in the ranges Video Design, Painting and Digital Art.
